A high level of competitiveness, flexibility and active involvement in cost-reduction measures were decisive factors: Bosch presented LMT with its Bosch Preferred Supplier Certificate on 12 July. This decision underscores the LMT Group’s position as a leader in thread-rolling technology. During the presentation of the certificate at the LMT plant in Schwarzenbek near Hamburg, Michael Stöve, Bosch’s lead buyer for LMT Tool Systems, emphasized the companies’ open and collaborative partnership as the reason for the award.
“Selection as a preferred supplier by Bosch not only makes us proud, but also confirms that we are heading in the right direction,” said Alessandro Telesio, managing director of LMT Tool Systems. “At the same time, our selection also motivates us to contribute our best to this collaboration in the future.”
Bosch aims to concentrate global procurement volumes and increasingly develop strategic supply partnerships following the reorientation of its procurement strategy. It aims to reduce the complexity of the process and increase efficiency, for example, with the aid of standardized contract specifications. In accordance with the new strategy, all Bosch plants around the world are only allowed to work with certified preferred suppliers. In future, Bosch will monitor preferred supplier status on a yearly basis.
