Outstanding marketing

LMT Tools wins the International German PR Prize for its trade fair public relations strategy involving live transmissions on the Internet. What is more, the relevant numbers confirm its great success: more than 500 viewers watched the broadcasts live on the Web and over 5,000 users accessed recordings later.
The live broadcasts of LMT at AMB 2010 convinced the judging panel of DPRG.

LMT does not only pioneer new approaches in the development of tools and coatings. The tool specialists rely on innovation in marketing too. Here the Internet plays a particularly important role. In September 2010 LMT successfully realized a special fair appearance in Stuttgart under the motto “Networking the Experts”. At the centre of the event were live transmissions of tool presentations over the Internet to the fair booth and on the World Wide Web. The programme of the LMT e-Convention included a total of 14 webcasts from partners and users in engineering firms all over Germany as well as the LMT Technology Centre in Schwarzenbek. In addition to the visitors at the fair, more than 500 Internet viewers watched the presentations live on the Web. Later, after the AMB fair, users accessed the recordings of the webcasts over 5,000 times.

“Best PR activity”

This tangible business communication success also convinced the expert judges for the International German PR Prize. At a formal gala on 7 October they honoured LMT with the prize for the best PR activity by a privately owned small or medium-sized enterprise. LMT finds itself in good company here. The 22 prizewinners include Volkswagen, Siemens, BASF, Metro and Bosch. The prize, which is organized by the German Public Relations Association (DPRG) jointly with PR associations in Austria and Switzerland, is one of the most prestigious PR prizes in the German-speaking countries.

Strategy continued at EMO

LMT has meanwhile successfully repeated the strategy of making live transmissions a central element of its trade fair appearances. The webcasts from EMO in Hanover, the world leading fair that recently came to an end, were watched live on the Internet by more than 1,000 viewers – and thanks to simultaneous interpreting into English could also be followed by an international audience. Visitors accessed the Internet platform from more than 30 different countries.
