Twitter – more than 1,000 “followers” receive tool technology news
German industrial companies continue to be rather underrepresented on Twitter, the short messages service on the Internet. Nevertheless, the number of twittering engineering and automotive companies is slowly but steadily growing. LMT has now been using the service for roughly a year – with considerable success: more than 1,000 “followers” already receive regular information from the world of tool technology in both English and German.
The principle behind Twitter is simple. After registering, users can “follow” other accounts that they find interesting. They then receive news from these accounts on their Twitter interface – and can naturally also post their own messages.
When it comes to LMT on Twitter, anyone interested in increasing the performance of precision tools for the machining of metal, plastics and composite materials should follow our account. Our regularly posted messages refer to new application reports and product information which can then be read in full on the LMT website.
The focus remains firmly on tool solutions that provide improved performance on an industrial scale in a variety of processes – from gear cutting, milling, turning, drilling, reaming, thread moulding and rolling, die and mould making, the machining of composite materials, metallurgy and heavy-duty cutting to component machining in the automotive industry.
