Web seminar: boosting thread production

High-volume production, fast process times, constantly changing materials – extreme demands are made on thread production processes and their success depends on many different factors. Using the right tool, cutting parameters and clamping technology all have a decisive influence on productivity. What are the latest trends in thread production? If you want to find out more, you should join the next LMT Academy Web seminar on you computer on 24 February.

The seminar will focus on a world first: XChange, LMT Fette’s modular threading tap. Its design as a combination of an interchangeable solid carbide cutting head and a high-speed steel shank enables increased productivity in many areas of application. The seminar will demonstrate how to use this innovation correctly and which setup parameters achieve optimum performance.

Afterwards, as part of their live presentation, the experts will outline important aspects of clamping. This subject is generally important, but especially so when taps are used – for example, in relation to the optimum supply of lubrication of the tool. During the Web seminar a SCK synchro chuck will be used that can be adjusted from both the machine and tool sides. Only the right clamping system secures consistent cutting performance over the complete life of the tool.
