Web seminar focuses on thread rolling

Take, for example, surface technology in threadrolling. Threadrollers create a thread on the workpiece in a rapid forming operation that applies enormous pressure. Their entire surface is involved in this thread-forming process. The high level of stress confronts developers of tool coatings with new challenges. Instead of mainly protecting the blade, as in the case of cutting techniques, the entire roller has to be protected during the rolling process. LMT has presented the world’s first coating for threadrollers under the name Protec Power. The coating enables an additional quantum leap in productivity for the chipless production of threads. It can increase tool life by up to 30%.

Significantly boosting thread production

However, the Protec Power coating is just one example. In the course of the live presentation during the Web seminar the experts will demonstrate what factors are important for thread production with rolling systems and which other tool systems can significantly boost productivity in different applications.
