According to the organizers, this year’s AMB in Stuttgart ended with “a record result”. Not only did the number of visitors rise, but more exhibitors also made an appearance in the nine halls. In its Excellence Workshop, LMT TOOLS demonstrated how excellent performance can be achieved in production when tool experts and users from different industries work together to achieve specific goals.
Economic slowdown? The AMB fair has resisted all the symptoms of crisis over recent months. Some 90,000 visitors came to Stuttgart, according to official statistics published by Messe Stuttgart. Two years ago the total had only been around 86,000. Furthermore, the proportion of foreign visitors also rose to 12% – one percentage point higher than in 2010. Visitors saw presentations by a total of 1,356 exhibitors (2010: 1,346). As a result, the 105,000 square metres of exhibition space were completely booked.
Excellence Workshop successful
LMT TOOLS' Excellence Workshop was also a complete success. This was the platform the tool specialists used to demonstrate how to achieve excellent performance in production. For example, how can you dramatically increase gearwheel production? Or why ultimately is choosing the right tool so crucial for the machining of composites? Answers to these questions were supplied in presentations and films. Users from various industries presented efficient production solutions jointly with LMT experts.
“We are totally satisfied with the Excellence Workshop,” explained LMT Marketing Manager Volker Reinsch. “The strategy was successful. It offered an ideal platform for interchange with customers and discussing their individual production processes in a goal-oriented way. In the process we were able to demonstrate our in-depth expertise in different fields of application.”
