MULTIEDGE T90 PRO4 AND T90 PRO8 - YOUR PRODUCTIVITY IS OUR PROFESSION

New shell mills set standards for stability and economy

Tangentially positioned indexable inserts guarantee an extremely stable milling process and permit the highest possible removal rates during roughing. The optimized insert geometry has a positive rake angle, resulting in a softer cut that further reduces the spindle load and horsepower requirements that results in increased tool life. LMT Fette has combined these advantages in two completely new shell mills and with the designs MultiEdge T90 PRO4 and PRO8 (figures). These new products generate maximum performance and economy during the roughing and semi-finishing of steel and cast materials.

The indexable inserts of the MultiEdge T90 PRO4 feature 4 cutting edges and are designed with a stable, soft cutting geometry allowing for maximum axial infeeds of ap = 11.5 mm.

The indexable inserts of the MultiEdge T90 PRO8 have twice as many cutting edges, further reducing tool costs through improved economy. The maximum axial infeed is ap = 10 mm.

When processing components from GGG50 with a MultiEDge T90 PRO8, removal rates and service life could be more than tripled. Processing time and machine costs are reduced by 60%.
