Cutting the high-strength materials is always a challenging task. Alloys of nickel and titanium, which have high thermal stability, make particularly difficult demands of the tool and the machine. But modern plastic and composite materials too call for tools with outstanding properties. The manufacture of many components used in the aerospace industry requires high volumes of cut material to be removed before the final shape is achieved. Industry demands a high-speed machining process appropriate to these materials, so that production times can be shortened. With LMT tools, the customer can produce economically, and gain a crucial advantage over the competition.
