Aluminium Sheet
What is Aluminium Sheet material?
There are a number of different types of aluminium sheet products;
- Aluminium Composite (ACM) - This is a sandwich type material which usually contains a foam like centre with aluminium on the top and bottom face
- Aluminium Composite (A2) - This is a sandwich type material which usually contains a mineral type core which makes it extremely fire resistance. Due to the fire resistant nature it can reduce tool life in standard solid carbide tooling.
- Aluminium Sheet (Solid) - This is solid aluminium sheet with one of the most regular grades of material which is machined being 1050.
See below our range of tools for aluminium sheet materials!

Aluminium Upcut
Allows for excellent chip evacuation pulling the chips away from the workpiece.

Aluminium Downcut
Designed to offer extra part hold down when machining small parts or reduced vacuum.

Aluminium Straight
Used in Aluminium Extrusions and Soft aluminium materials. Straight flute design offers no upwards or downwards cutting forces.

Aluminium Folding
Tools designed to allow a V groove in aluminium type material to allow for bending and folding. When machining solid aluminium sheet coolant may be required to achieve a finish without burr.
