Composite
Solutions for machining fiber reinforced materials.
What is Composite?
A composite is a material made up of a polymer matrix and a reinforcement material. The matrix, which is usually in greater proportion, binds and protects the reinforcement, which provides the main load-bearing strength.
Composites cover a wide range of materials, examples of composite materials which we provide solutions for are;
- Phenolic (inc HPL)
- Carbon Fiber (CF)
- Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP)
- Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP)
- Fiberglass
- Aramid (Commonly known as kevlar)
See below for our broad range of tools for machining composite materials!

Composite Burr
Designed for abrasive fibrous materials. Allows for the shearing of fibrous materials.

Composite Upcut
Allows for excellent chip evacuation pulling the chips away from the workpiece.

Composite Downcut
Designed to offer extra part hold down when machining small parts or reduced vacuum.

Composite Compression
Designed to prevent delamination on the top and bottom edge of the material.

Composite Drill
Used to create a through hole or blind hole in the material to achieve a desired hole size.

Composite PCD
Polycristalline Diamond (PCD) tools are designed to offer long tool life. Especially for abrasive materials.
