When you visit our social media sites, we process data concerning you. In the following, we would like to inform you in accordance with Art. 13 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) about our handling of your data and the rights you have in this respect.

Public Relations
The data such as usernames, comments, videos, pictures, likes, public messages, etc., that you provide on our social media sites are published by the social media platform, and we do not process these data for any other purpose at any time. We reserve solely the right to remove content insofar as this should be necessary. We may possibly share your content on our site if this is a feature of the social media platform and communicate with you on the social media platform.
If you send us a request on the social media platform, we may also (depending on the content) refer you to other secure communication channels that guarantee confidentiality. For instance, you can send us your inquiries at any time to the address given in the legal disclosures or to ahempsted@lmt-tools.com. The choice of the appropriate communication channel is your own responsibility.
The legal grounds for the data processing are set forth in point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. The data processing is carried out in the legitimate interest of conducting public relations for our company and being able to communicate with you.
We are joint controller for some of the processing activities together with the operator of the pertinent social media platform and have concluded the agreement required pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR insofar as the operator of the social media platform makes this possible.
The essential components of our joint responsibility are found in the following section.
Statistics (Insights)
The social media platforms we use regularly generate statistics (insights) based on use data containing information about your interaction with our social media site. We can neither control nor prevent the compilation and provision of these statistics.
We process the aforementioned information (statistics) in accordance with point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR in the legitimate interest of validating the use of our social media sites and improving the orientation of our content to our target groups.
Marketing oriented to target groups
We also use the aforementioned social media platforms to disseminate targeted advertising.
The social media operator provides to us target group definitions that we use for this purpose. We use solely anonymous target group definitions - defining characteristics based on (for example) general demographics, behavior, interests, and links. The social media platform operator uses this information to display advertisements to its users. The legal grounds for this are the consent that the social media platform operator has obtained from its users.
If you wish to withdraw your consent, please use the withdrawal options provided by the social media platform operator as it is the controller for this processing.
We or the social media platform operators also use publicly available data for target group definition. The legal grounds for the data processing are set forth in point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. Our legitimate interest here is the definition of the most precise criteria possible for a target group. We never use sensitive categories of personal data as designated in Art. 9 and 10 GDPR (e.g., political opinions, sexual orientation) for target group definition.
We also use information about visits to or interaction with other websites (so-called remarketing) to define target groups. Our use of cookies and other technologies serves this purpose. In these cases, however, we obtain the users’ consent in advance by displaying a consent banner on the other sites and provide information about the data processing at this point. You can withdraw this consent at any time by returning to the consent banner on the website.
The social media platform operator uses web-tracking methods. Web tracking can also take place regardless of whether you are logged in or registered with the social media platform.
We would like to point out that the social media platform operator’s use and evaluation of your profile and behavioral data for its own purposes cannot be precluded. We have no control over the processing of your data by the social media platform operator. Please keep this in mind when using the social media platform.

We erase your personal data when they are no longer required for the aforementioned processing purposes and no legal retention obligations preclude their erasure.
As a user, you have the possibility to assert the following rights against both us and the social media platform operator if the requirements are met.
Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you are being processed; if this is the case, you have a right to information about these personal data and to the information listed in detail in Art. 15 GDPR.
Right to rectification and erasure (Art. 16 and 17 GDPR)
You have the right to request without delay the rectification of any incorrect personal data concerning you and possibly the completion of any incomplete personal data. You also have the right to request the erasure of any personal data concerning you without delay provided one of the reasons listed in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g., if the data are no longer required for the purposes in question.
Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
You have the right to request the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR is met (e.g., if you have objected to the processing) for the duration of any necessary review.
Right to portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
In certain cases, which are listed in detail in Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, conventional, and machine-readable format, and/or to request that these data be transferred to a third party.
Right of objection (Art. 21 GDPR)
If data have been acquired for our legitimate interests pursuant to point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling legitimate grounds for such processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
If the data are processed on the grounds of our legitimate interest in direct marketing, you have your own right to object that you may exercise at any time without giving your reasons; the exercise of this right will result in the termination of the processing for direct marketing purposes.
Right of withdrawal (Art. 7 GDPR)
Insofar as the processing of data is based on your consent, you are entitled to withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data at any time pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR. Please note that the withdrawal is effective solely for the future. The withdrawal of consent is without prejudice to the lawfulness of prior processing based on this consent.
Right to file a complaint to a supervisory authority
In accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of data that concern you violates data protection regulations. The right to object can be asserted in particular by reporting to a supervisory authority in the member state of your domicile or workplace or at the venue where the alleged violation took place.
