What is wood?
Wood can be generally divided into natural wood (hard wood and soft wood) and man-made or engineered wood.
- Soft Woods consists of Pine, Spurce, Poplar, Balsa etc
- Hard Woods consists of Oak, Maple, Walnut, Teak etc
- Man-Made woods consist of MDF, Chipboard, Plywood and all 'faced' materials (E.G. MFC)
